The baroness and close
collaborators and alter-egos Helen And Mick Dolley have been involved in
music for a long while now - the last eleven years as practicing
Christians
Helen and Mick have been singing, playing and leading Praise and Worship during this time, as well as writing and recording original material. These songs [some of which are available on page 03] range from P&W and Christian themes to secular themes - mainly social issues. Our 1st church, New Life Christian Centre, based in Wembley, Middx was a great training ground for P&W leading. Pastor Ian Christensen and the team there, having a heart for passionate, Holy Spirit led worship have been very encouraging to many people, including us in this area of church ministry. We, it seems, have been spoilt with such freedom to seek Jesus, to wait for Jesus and ultimately to be led by Him into healing/deliverance/etc through P&W; as we have been to a few churches since leaving New Life and realize what a rare experience this is. I guess it would be best to confess at this point that we cannot see how the Holy Spirit CAN minister regularly unless it is through a protracted time of P&W - ie giving the Lord/us the space necessary. In short we are PASSIONATE about worshipping our Lord in a direct and down to earth way - no pandering to class or conforming to religious traditions. Our own songs reflect this outlook too.
